Our centre
Elite Early Childhood Education is a beautiful expansive centre. The indoor environment is cosy and full of warmth radiating from the teachers. The outdoor environment includes a large play area with plenty of room to run, jump and play, two split level sandpits, a whare and a stream which we control the water flow to, a challenge course, gardens, a bike track and much more.
Staff
Elite Early Childhood Education has a team of experienced, highly skilled, dedicated and passionate teachers. We have four qualified ECE teachers and two teachers in training. We believe in strong relationships based on trust and respect with you the whanau and your precious children. Our centre believes in an open-door policy and building strong mutual connections with all members of the centre. We have a positive centre and you can feel the positivity and warmth of our team when you walk through the door.
Hours
Elite Early Childhood Education is committed to meeting both you and your child’s needs. We are flexible with the hours you would like to book your child in. Any time between 8 am and 5pm.
Lunch
Elite Early Childhood Education provides hot healthy delicious lunches each day. These come from Kidscan and are prepared with love by our centre cook.
Children are encouraged to bring drink bottles, which they can access freely throughout the day, and we also have fresh water and clean cups available for children throughout the day.
Curriculum
Te Whariki Early Childhood Curriculum is the document that guides our teaching. We consult with you the parent to ensure that we provide the best learning activities to assist your child to meet their individual goals. Your child’s learning and development will be recorded through our Educa learning platform and in their personal profile folder.
In your child’s folder you will find a parent/whanau aspiration form. This is where you record what you would like your child to learn, the teacher’s learning goal for your child and a record of your child’s learning through activities provided for them. There will also be an evaluation of their learning that you will have input into alongside the teacher. There will also be plenty of photos, samples of artwork and anything that is relevant to your child’s learning and development. This folder is something for you to treasure, so keep it safe and look at it often in the years to come!
We deliver a play-based curriculum with intentional teaching activities and we have a flexible daily routine woven through our day which has little disruption to our children’s learning and play.

Daily routine
We have a routine as after consultation with parents/whanau we found that parents want their child to eat and play at regular intervals during the day. Therefore, our daily routine consists of:
8.00 – 9.45 Free play including activities provided, inside and outside based on tamariki interests / goals and whanau aspirations
9.45 Mat time (morning greeting etc), and Karakia for kai
9.45 – 10.15 Rolling morning tea (lunch boxes)
During this time environment will be reset with activities of tamariki interests, and planned activities, inside and outside based on children’s interests / goals and whanau aspirations continue.
10.30 Morning tea tidy up, toileting and nappy routine
11.45 Tidy up time
12.00 Kidscan Lunch time
12.15 Lunchbox time
After lunch, free play and a reset with activities of tamariki interests, and planned activities, inside and outside based on children’s interests / goals and whanau aspirations continue.
2.00 – 2.30 Afternoon Kidscan Kai, yoghurt and fruit provided
Free play with curriculum-based activities for the rest of the day
5.00 Closed
Celebrations
We have many celebrations throughout the year these include birthday celebrations, Diwali celebrations, Matariki celebrations, Special person celebrations, Teddy Bear picnics, etc. We are happy to incorporate any celebrations that you want us to! We love having special celebrations here at Elite Early Childhood Education.
